Holy Books and Holy Days

Holy Books
The holy book that is referred to for all Christians is the Bible. It contains two main sections: the Old Testament and the New Testament. Protestants follow 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament. The authority of the Bible is key to the Protestant faith.
Holy Days
Lent : Its focus is on self-examination and self-denial, and Christians use fasting as a visible demonstration of this process. Some Protestant denominations observe Lent, but many Protestant churches give less significance to the season of Lent than to the individual days leading up to Easter.
Good Friday: Good Friday marks the day on which Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross for the sins of the world. It is a day of great mourning and sorrow.Protestant churches sometimes hold services between noon and 3:00 p.m. to commemorate Jesus' hours on the cross. It is also a day of gratitude for the sacrifice he made.
